this didn't last long, however, due to his father's death, and emma's own near-death. hal still blames himself for everything that happened.

hired by armstech to design metal gear REX, hal was under the impression that he had been designing a weapons defense system, rather than the weapon it truly was itself.however, he was saved by snake, which gave hal the opportunity to right his wrongs and be something of a hero, aiding snake wherever possible, and even saving the other man a few times in the process.
after escaping shadow moses with snake, they've been presumed dead.
PHILANTHROPY .aa
now on the run, hal, along with snake and the help of natasha romanenko and mei ling, formed philanthropy, an anti-metal gear organization.
